Great hangout spot in Sparta. There's not a lot to do in Sparta but this is one of our favorite spots. The beers are good and they have wine or cocktails if that's what you prefer. They usually have live music on the weekends and open mic on Wednesdays. They're hours are a little sporadic but other that all good!

We eat at Crave quite often and it's one of Sparta's best. The lasagna, spaghetti, chicken parmigiana and Caesar salad are all good. We really love the fried ravioli appetizer. The last time we went they were short handed, and one of the waitresses was hostess, server and bussing tables. So the service was a little slow but she was busting her butt to make it happen. We'll continue to go and support this restaurant.

I was in Reidsville working today and happened to drive by Short Sugar's. I'm glad I did because I was considering a burger. I had the chopped tray which vines with cole slaw (white), hush puppies and a pickle chip on top. The BBQ had excellent, smoky flavor and didn't need any sauce. The hush puppies were just right, the slaw was tasty, and the pickle chip was a nice bonus. I normally eat my Q, slaw, hush puppy together with ketchup on my hush puppy. Adding the bite of pickle made the flavor even better, and I'll be asking for pickles next time I order BBQ anywhere else! I'll definitely be back when I'm in Reidsville again.
